Deborah Amit

I am currently pursuing a research-based Master’s degree in Public Policy at Tel Aviv University, under the supervision of Dr. Nahumi Yaffe. I hold a B.A. in Political Science and Communication with honors from Tel Aviv University, where I also completed a certification program focused on the European Union. My M.A. research explores the Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) community, with a focus on individuals who pursue higher education despite prevailing social norms. I aim to understand the personal and societal implications of stepping between two worlds—religious tradition and academic life—by integrating qualitative methods with broader policy perspectives
